Does SmartTag™ use active GPS tracking?
No. SmartTag™ is not an active GPS tracker.
Instead, it allows the finder to securely share the exact location where your pet was found.
Does the finder need an app?
No. SmartTag™ works directly through most modern smartphones with no app download required.
Should I still use a microchip?
Yes. We always recommend microchipping your pet.
SmartTag™ works alongside your pet’s microchip by making it easier for finders to instantly access important information using their smartphone.
Does SmartTag™ require charging?
No. SmartTag™ does not contain a battery and never requires charging.
How is SmartTag™ different from a traditional ID tag?
Traditional tags can only display limited engraved information.

How do I update my pet’s details?
Once your SmartTag is registered, you can update your pet’s profile anytime by visiting the Edit SmartTag Profile page and entering your registered email address.
A secure access link will be sent to your email, allowing you to instantly update details such as contact information, emergency contacts, medical notes, and photos.
